"Show Me Milwaukee," a streaming series that promises a look inside the city with a range of local personalities, returns for a second season starting Sept. 28 on the Very Local app, created by WISN-TV (Channel 12) parent Hearst Television.

Greg Adams, aka DJ GeeA from WXSS-HD2 (105.7), returns as host of the show, which posts new episodes on Thursdays. Guests for Season 2 include Matt Kemple, founder of the Milwaukee Comedy Festival (Sept. 28), Olympic gymnast Chellsie Memmel (Oct. 19), former Packer Gilbert Brown (Oct. 26) and WXSS-FM (103.7) morning host Alley Faith with Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson (Nov. 3).

On the Sept. 28 episode, for example, Adams went behind the scenes at the Laughing Tap comedy club in Milwaukee, and Kemple enlisted Adams to emcee a standup show. The pair also visited other spots, including Fuel Cafe in Walker's Point, the Safe House and Newsroom Pub downtown, and Great Lakes Distillery.

The Very Local app combines original programming, local and national, with local news and weather reports from Hearst TV stations including Channel 12. It's available at app stores for use on smartphones, smart TVs and streaming devices like Roku.
