Broadway star and singer Shoshana Bean will perform a holiday concert at Harlem’s Apollo Theater on Dec. 4, her sixth time returning to the iconic stage. Tickets are on sale as of 10:00 am, Oct. 25, and can be found at Ticketmaster.com

Bean is currently slated to star in “Hell’s Kitchen,” a musical with music and lyrics by Alicia Keys running at the Public Theater; she will take a night off from the show to host her holiday concert. Bean will be joined by her arranger and music director David Cooke, in addition to a band and special guest stars. Cooke has collaborated alongside Bean for almost 20 years, and has also worked with other popular artists including Taylor Swift, Ben Platt, Kesha, Thomas Rhett, Lizz Wright, Maren Morri and more.
Bean first appeared at the Apollo when her album “Spectrum” was released in 2018 and returned to perform a holiday concert at the venue last year. During the pandemic, she filmed a docu-concert on an empty Apollo stage and released the live album “Sing Your Hallelujah.”
Guests that have joined Bean on stage in previous years include Cynthia Erivo, Ledisi, Gavin Creel, Matthew Morrison, Jeremy Jordan, Daniel J.Watts and more. Previous songs featured at the holiday concert include the classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” performed with Jordan and Israel’s national anthem, “Hatikvah.”
Most recently, Bean appeared alongside Billy Crystal in “Mr. Saturday Night” on Broadway, for which she won a Tony. She has also starred as Elphaba in “Wicked” and Jenna in “Waitress” on Broadway.
