Gift guide season is in full swing. As a shopping editor, it’s one of my favorite times of the year because I get to sort through all of the products we’ve tested and recommend ones that I know are going to spark smiles. I’m always curious to see what gifts other sites and celebrities recommend (looking at you, Oprah’s Favorite Things), and I have to say: I was blown away by today’s release of the Google Holiday 100 list.
There are tried-and-true giftable items like Birkenstock sandals, trending home décor products such as a portable mid century mushroom lamp, and even some odd-but-giftable picks like this candle warmer.

It uses Google Trends to identify items that were highly searched, newly searched, or trending for a period of time. Basically, there’s no hidden agenda — these are simply things that a lot of people were looking to buy this year.
