If you were ever going to spend $2,500 on Goop — which would be pretty easy to do — now is the time to do it.

Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow is selling gently used pieces of her designer wardrobe, including a Valentino coat at the aforementioned price, as part of the site’s annual Celebrity Closet Sale. All proceeds generated from the sale of the coat, as well as pieces donated from Paltrow’s friends Drew Barrymore, Anne Hathaway, and a few others will go to nonprofit organizations helping children. Donors Choose helps teachers raise money to benefit students, while Children’s Rights helps kids in foster care. The sale kicked off Thursday and will continue until all the items are sold out.

People have come to expect steep prices from Goop. After all, it’s curated by a woman with a wood-burning pizza oven in her backyard who would rather “smoke crack than eat cheese from a tin.” The woman has standards!

We’ve also come to expect the ridiculously extravagant gift guide that Goop pulls together for the holidays each year. (A $1,100 water filter, anyone?)

The Celebrity Closet Sale does not disappoint in that department. Some of the more expensive items are a Galvan velvet jumpsuit for $995 and an Alexander McQueen clutch for $795. Drew Barrymore donated a Céline leather bag for $1,595, and Anne Hathaway gave away a Riccardo Tisci dress that someone can take home for $795.

Some of the lower-priced pieces, at least for Goop, are a Miu Miu top owned by Lena Dunham for $250 and a $175 dress from stylist Rachel Zoe, designed by Rachel Zoe.

Jill Kargman, creator and star of Bravo’s Odd Mom Out (who also happens to be Barrymore’s former sister-in-law), has the honor — or is it shame in Goop land? — of donating the item with the smallest price tag. It’s a $35 skirt from H&M.

Paltrow acknowledged the loftiness of some of the items offered at Goop in a March 2015 interview with MarketWatch.

“I think there is sometimes a miscommunication,” Paltrow said. “We aren’t a super-luxury site, but we’re aspirational. We have things on there that cost $4. We have things on there that cost $500. Sometimes I think that some of the criticism Goop gets is because people haven’t actually gone to the site and looked around and seen what we actually are."

Hmm, that might not help. But maybe she’ll score some goodwill points with her charity sale.
