Gomez first greeted fans in a white knit peplum dress by Self Portrait, with a zig-zagged patterned white mid-size purse, white and black clasped kitten heels, and retro-style sunglasses.

The Rare Beauty founder then posted her next look on Instagram — giving royalty, chic, and timeless in every way. Gomez sported an off-the-shoulder Saint Laurent gown in black with white detailing at the top. She then accessorized with the Bvlgari Diamond Swan necklace (which took 2000 hours to create) and Santoni heels. But what really took the dress to the next level — aside from the estimated $3.5 million necklace — is the effortless makeup. Gomez went for a matte look that blends into the skin like a dream. Gomez’s last look was a custom, vibrant red Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress with same-colored heels.

Gomez was present at the Cannes Film Festival to attend a photocall of her new film, Emilia Pérez, which received a nine-minute standing ovation from the crowd.
