Season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead has ended and so have the lives of some of the show’s beloved characters. The season finale, which was presented as two parts, “Things Bad Begun” and “Sleigh Ride,” left many fans wondering: So which of our favorite characters are still alive?
First, Troy confessed to Madison that he was the one that led the horde to the ranch because, “It wasn’t right that the Indians had it.” Troy then told Madison, “I’d do it all again. All of it, Madison. And you would too. You know you would, ’cause you understand and you see things.” A furious Madison immediately struck the side of Troy’s face with a hammer, twice, as Nick stood there utterly shocked over the horror. #RIPTroy
Meanwhile, as the Proctors arrived to seize control of the dam, Victor Strand pulled a gun on Daniel, shooting him in the face. However, somehow, Daniel managed to survive and run away with Lola. Unfortunately, after hiding the wounded Daniel in a tunnel, Lola found Efraín shot in the head in his office and, while attempting to seek vengeance for his death, Proctor John then shot Lola in the head.
Speaking of Proctor John, it seemed as though he was ready to recruit Alicia, whether or not she really wanted to but eventually decided that he needed to kill her purely because he wanted to kill her brother Nick and claimed that he would never trust her after he did so. John told Alicia he would do her the favor of killing her first, so she wouldn’t have to watch the deaths of her brother and mother. However, he did want Madison to bear witness to the deaths of her two children. But Nick had a different plan.
After revealing that he held the power to detonate a series of bombs lined up throughout the dam, Nick stated, “My mom and sister are gonna take a Zodiac across the lake. Just go as far upriver as you can. They’ll have a head start … I’m not negotiating, John. This is my suicide note.”
Ultimately, Nick did end up detonating the bombs, which caused the entire dam to explode … but he did it too soon. Alicia, Madison, and Victor couldn’t get far enough away and ended up being sucked into a flood caused by the dam’s destruction. The finale ended with Madison crawling onto the shore, alone. Naturally, fans on Twitter expressed their concern.

Of course, we didn’t see Nick, Daniel, Victor, or Alicia actually die, so now all we can do is wait to see which of our favorite characters make it to Season 4.
