Shocking double elimination follows frightfully good dance on 'Dancing With the Stars'

It was Halloween Night on Dancing With the Stars — and viewers certainly got a trick and a treat. All the dancers dressed as our favorite monsters and nightmares to put on a wonderful show that had a shocking double elimination at the end.

It was team night, and from the onset the teams didn’t seem evenly split. Team Monster Mash was made up of the top four couples from last week. Team Phantom of the Opera consisted of the bottom eight couples.

Team Monster Mash seemed to stumble, but Phantom of the Opera managed to score a perfect 10 for all three judges.

Judge Len Goodman said, “Shut the front door and call me Andrew Lloyd Webber — that was the most polished dance I’ve ever seen as a team dance.”

Unfortunately, the good mood didn’t last. After the praise for the team performance, it was revealed that both Vanessa Lachey and Nikki Bella were eliminated.
