Courteney Cox’s horror-comedy Shining Vale won’t scare up more episodes at Starz, which has cancelled the series after two seasons, TVLine has learned.

“Starz has made the difficult decision to not renew Shining Vale for Season 3,” a network rep confirmed in a statement to TVLine. “Unfortunately Shining Vale did not find a large enough audience for us to continue, but we hope to have the opportunity to partner with Courteney Cox, Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan in the future.”

Shining Vale‘s Dec. 1 sophomore finale now serves as its series finale. Per our sister site Variety, both seasons will also be removed from Starz’s on-demand library by the end of the year.

The series starred Cox as Patricia “Pat” Phelps, a former wild child who had gotten clean and sober, but was left totally unfulfilled, leading her to have a torrid affair with a young handyman. In a last-ditch effort to save their marriage, Pat and her husband Terry (Greg Kinnear) moved their family to a large, old house in the titular suburban town, which was haunted by a spirit (Mira Sorvino) that only Pat could see.

Shining Vale‘s cancellation at Starz comes after the premium cabler previously axed Heels, Run the World and Blindspotting. Hightown, meanwhile, will end with its upcoming third season; get an exclusive first look at the final episodes.
