‘The Shield’ Star Michael Jace Pleads Not Guilty to Murder

Michael Jace, who played Officer Julien Lowe on the FX police drama “The Shield,” has pleaded not guilty to murder in the shooting death of his wife April Jace, TheWrap confirms.

Jace, who was charged with murder in May, was also ordered by a judge to stay 100 yards away from the couple's two sons, and to not reach out to them should he be released on his $2 million bail.

Jace's wife was shot multiple times in the torso. The couple's children were at home at the time of the shooting.

Police have said they believe the shooting was a case of domestic violence.

The 51-year-old actor, who has also appeared on “Law & Order” and “LA Law,” is due back in court on Aug. 1.
