Shia LaBeouf the Rapper? Watch Him Show Off His Impressive Freestyle Skills

Shia LaBeouf never ceases to amaze.

The multi-talented actor dropped by Sway in the Morning on Sirius XM on Friday, where he discussed everything from his marriage to his relationship with Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull director Steven Spielberg. But in the highlight of the interview, LaBeouf stepped up to the mic and delivered an impressive series of rap verses off the top of his head.

In a recurring segment called “5 Fingers of Death,” the radio show’s DJ plays a series of five mystery beats, and the guest is tasked with inventing rhymes that match the changing beats on the spot. The challenge is no easy feat for professional MCs, but the Transformers star blew away the show’s hosts with his freestyle.

Before taking to the mic, LaBeouf revealed that he is a huge hip-hop fan — and even has tattoos of rap legends 2Pac, the Notorious B.I.G. and Missy Elliot on his body.

When he wasn’t showing off his skills on the mic, LaBeouf opened up about his recent marriage to Mia Goth. “I love it — that’s one that’s not been a f— up,” he said. “It’s been the best thing I ever did for myself.”

He continued: “I’ve always been a serial monogamist — I think it’s because I’m deeply insecure. Once you get vulnerable with a person, that’s it. I’ve never been a one-night-stand guy. If we have a one-night stand, I’m with you for years. I’m that guy. I just was after something real substantial this time. I’m cresting 30 — I’m 30 years old and I really had never met anybody like this person. And you know when you know.”

LaBeouf and Goth married in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony on Oct. 10. But given his love of doing off-the-wall performance art pieces — and the fact that it was live-streamed on the Internet — many doubted the marriage was the real deal.

But LaBeouf later explained the situation on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying, “The plan was for it to be a private deal. Part of the package, the King Tut package, you get a live stream for free.”
