Sheryl Lee Ralph Wants You to Know Her Marriage is Just Fine

Although actress Sheryl Lee Ralph has been married to her husband Vincent Hughes since 2005, the pair have spent most of their marriage apart as their careers keep them on opposite coasts. Ralph makes her home in LA while shooting Abbott Elementary. Her husband, a Pennsylvania State Senator, spends most of his time in the state capital of Harrisburg.

But after the Internet started buzzing that the pair were finally ready to move in together, the Emmy award-winning actress took the time to set the record straight. And to those who question how they manage to make things work, Ralph wants everyone to know that their situation is tight.

If you were wondering whether Ralph and Hughes can stand being under the same roof, you should know that the couple has not always lived apart. They actually lived together during one of the most difficult times for couples everywhere – during the COVID-19 pandemic. And if you and your partner can survive a mandatory lockdown, I feel like you can make it through anything.

“We were together 24/7, and it was absolutely great,” Ralph told AARP Magazine. “I thought, ‘Wow, I like this man,’”
