The 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire' actor has happy to oblige as Shepherd whipped out a black marker on Wednesday's episode of her daytime talk show

Sherri Shepherd is putting the "bust" in Ghostbusters.

On Wednesday's episode of her daytime talk series Sherri, the host chatted with original Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson — who appears once again as his character Dr. Winston Zeddemore in the upcoming Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire — and they got to talking about the most memorable fan encounters he's ever had in the nearly 40 years since the first film premiered.

"Do you have women coming on [to you] and going, 'Can you sign my chest?' " asked Shepherd, 56, to which Hudson, 78, replied, "No, and I've been waiting for that!"

Shepherd then wasted no time pulling out a permanent marker and handing it to Hudson, who said, "Oh my goodness" as the studio audience cheered.

Shepherd just so happened to be wearing the perfect dress for the occasion, which featured a horizontal cutout that showed off the actor's autograph like a built-in accessory.

"I've been waiting for years to ask you to do that," she said as she took her seat opposite Hudson when he was finished.

"I hope you didn't mind I took a little time with that," he joked, addressing the crowd.

"I got 'Ernie Hudson' on my chest, y'all!" Shepherd proclaimed with a wide smile.

"And you know what? After 50 years, I've been asking my wife to do that and she's like, 'Oh, please,' " Hudson joked.

Hudson has been making the rounds to chat about his upcoming appearance in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which continues the story of the Spengler family, carrying the torch for late actor Harold Ramis' Dr. Egon Spengler.

Hudson, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Annie Potts all reprise their roles from the original 1984 film and its 1989 sequel, having also done so in 2021's Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

The new film, directed by Gil Kenan, also stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim.

According to a synopsis, "The Spengler family returns to where it all started — the iconic New York City firehouse — to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level.

It adds, "But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age."

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is in theaters on March 22.
