Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Defends Deputies’ Treatment Of Woman Who Claims She Was ‘Abused’ By Them

Keith says his wife, JoLynn, is a severe alcoholic who drinks when she’s not sleeping. JoLynn claims that while in custody, police “abused” her, leaving her face covered in purple bruises. Watch the body cam footage. Sergeant Ray Kelly, spokesperson from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department, says he has reviewed body cam video in its entirety and interviewed officers and denies that the police were involved in any wrongdoing. “I would say that her injuries are self-inflicted,” Sgt. Kelly tells Dr. Phil on Thursday’s episode. Hear more from Sgt. Kelly in the video above. On Thursday, hear from JoLynn’s daughter who says she doesn’t really have a relationship with her mother because of her drinking. Is JoLynn ready to change?
