Shep Rose Just Introduced Us to His “First Love”
Shep Rose is feeling nostalgic, so he's revealing new information about his past.
The Southern Charm cast member, whose relationship with Taylor Ann Green came to an end in the summer of 2022 after about two-and-a-half years of dating, just opened up about his real "first love."

Shep Rose's "First Love"
For the South Carolina native, it's all love... and basketball.
Shep took to his Instagram Stories on August 29 to share some insight into his athletic background. He wrote, "My first love was basketball," alongside a photo of him on the court at a bar and restaurant in Missoula, Montana.
Though basketball was an early love for Shep, it didn't end up being a lasting love.
"I swear I was decent at one point," he continued. "Broken wrist and a scorching case of tennis elbow later..."

Shep's love life may have been simple back in his basketball days, but things have certainly changed for him since then.
When Southern Charm Season 9 kicks off on September 14 at 9/8c, Shep will still be dealing with his breakup from Taylor.

After traveling the world together, Shep and Taylor decided to end their relationship, but that didn't mean that Shep had satiated his wanderlust.
According to his official bio for Season 9, following his split, Shep "took some time to travel" more, and he sought "solace in Australia and South Africa." Once he got back, Shep started to contemplate "whether Charleston is right for him" long-term.
Further fueling Shep's desire for travel is likely the rumor that his ex hooked up with his close pal, Austen Kroll.

As a press release for the new season reads, "Fresh off a sabbatical in Australia, Shep has returned to Charleston and is ready to work on a friendship with Taylor, which proves difficult when he hears rumors about what she’s been up to while he was Down Under."
Fans will have to tune in starting on September 14 to find out the truth about what really happened between Taylor and Austen, but, until then, you can check out the trailer for Season 9 at the top of this post.
