Sheamus Agrees To Face Edge On 8/18 WWE SmackDown

Edge and Sheamus‘ friendship goes back years, and next week, the two will face off in the ring to celebrate Edge’s long-running history at WWE.

During tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Edge took to the ring ahead of his 25th-anniversary celebration next week. In the ring, he said he knows everyone is wondering why he is here. His anniversary may be next week, but he saw that Calgary was on the docket, so he had to come, he said.

Edge went on to say that next week, he wants to have a match against a guy he has never had a match against before. That man is Sheamus, a guy who helped to light the fire under his butt to make him think he could wrestle again.

After coming out to the ring, Sheamus and the rest of the Brawling Brutes joined Edge in the ring. The pair then shared embarrassing video and photos of each other before Sheamus agreed to the match. However, as the two shook heads, Sheamus abruptly pulled Edge back in, and said that he hopes Edge isn’t making a mistake.
