‘She’s Gotta Have It’ Adds Kim Director; ‘Vikings’ Casts Ida Marie Nielsen

Kim Director (Inside Man, Orange Is The New Black) is set for a recurring role in Spike Lee’s 10-episode Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It, a contemporary update of Lee’s groundbreaking 1986 indie film. The series centers on Nola Darling (DeWanda Wise), a Brooklyn-based sexually liberated, free spirited painter/mixed media artist in her late 20s struggling to define herself and divide her time amongst her friends, her job and her three lovers. Director will play Bianca, a character not in the original film, new to the updated series. Director previously worked with Lee on Inside Man, Summer of Sam and He Got Game. She’ll next be seen in HBO series The Deuce with James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming thriller Split, and The Super with Val Kilmer and Patrick John Flueger. She is repped by Nicolosi & Company.

Ida Marie Nielsen (Anna Pihl) has booked a recurring role on History’s hit drama series Vikings. She’ll play Margrethe in the upcoming second half of Season 4, which premieres November 30. Margrethe is a young Viking servant who is a love interest to a lead character. Margrethe is clever and resilient, yet vulnerable at the same time. Nielsen is repped by Panorama Agency and TCA/Jed Root.
