Shayna Baszler Defeats Maxxine Dupri, Advances In WWE Queen Of The Ring Tournament

Shayna Baszler has punched her ticket to the next round.

The WWE Queen of the Ring tournament continued at the WWE live event on May 13. In first-round action, Shayna Baszler faced Maxxine Dupri. Dupri was the replacement for Zelina Vega, as WWE announced that she was not cleared to compete. Baszler picked up the win via submission, as she made Dupri tap out to the Kirifuda Clutch.

The first round of tournament action is now complete. In the quarterfinals, Shayna Baszler will face IYO SKY on the May 13 episode of WWE RAW. SKY beat Natalya in a first-round match on the May 6 episode of RAW. The tournament finals will be at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.
