Shawn Mendes says he was roughed up by Drake's security guard at The Weeknd concert

    Musician Shawn Mendes visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he revealed that things didn’t go so well when he tried to greet fellow Torontonian Drake.

    The two happened to be at the same The Weeknd concert. Because Mendes had met Drake a couple of times before, he thought he would walk up and say, “Hi.”

    Unfortunately for Mendes, Drake’s “300-pound security guard” grabbed him by the arm and put him in a restraining hold.

    Mendes said, “I’m like, in the middle of The Weeknd show with like my arm hooked behind my back. Drake’s security guard, like, has me, like, completely at his mercy.”

    Fortunately, Drake stepped in and told the security guard to let Mendes go. Nonetheless, Mendes said of the experience, “I was terrified.”
