Sharon Osbourne has admitted she’s struggled to get through her husband’s new song with Elton John because it reduces her to tears.

The two music legends have collaborated on 'Ordinary Man' the title track from Ozzy's new solo album, set for release on 21 February, with the lyrics reflecting the Black Sabbath singer's rise to fame and his struggles in the limelight. Elton plays piano on the track as well as providing additional vocals.

"It’s the story of Ozzy’s life...,” Sharon, 67, shared on US chat show The Talk. “I'm just so happy for Ozzy that it's been so well received. I can't listen to it all the way though, it makes me cry.”

On what Elton made of the collaboration, Sharon continued: "He loved it. Ozzy asked if he would play piano... and Elton said yes. And then he went into the studio and he started to sing, Elton did, and we just kept it. “

Elton isn’t the only celebrity contributor on the track as it also features Guns N’ Roses member Slash on guitar.

Ozzy's new album comes after a difficult year for the 71-year-old singer in regard to his health.

The 71-year-old suffered a nasty fall last year, which left him having to undergo several operations when it was discovered his spinal cord was compressed and one of the metal bolts in his collarbone from a previous quad-bike accident was dislodged.

It's also taken its toll on Sharon, who revealed months later that she kept "reliving" her husband's accident.

The mother-of-three went under the knife herself again last year for a cosmetic procedure. She later shared that the face lift had left her unable to feel her mouth for some time.
