Matthews was taken to the locker room in the second period shortly after getting hit by Dillon, and was initially upset that no penalty was called.
The 22-year-old returned for the start of the third period, however, and scored an insurance goal to seal a 4-1 victory. Here’s another view of Dillon’s hit on Matthews:

Matthews told reporters post-game that he’s feeling OK after the hit, which comes as welcome relief for the Maple Leafs who are already without captain John Tavares and winger Zach Hyman in the lineup due to injuries.
