John Cena will host this year’s Shark Week, Discovery Channel‘s annual celebration of the apex predator. Warner Bros. Discovery announced the collaboration at the network's upfront event in New York City on May 15, further unveiling that the weeklong event would kick off Sunday, July 7.

What is the Shark Week 2024 schedule?
The schedule has yet to be released, but Discovery has confirmed that this year's extravaganza will include Part 2 of Belly of the Beast, which follows researchers as they "brave a great white shark feeding frenzy," as well as Monster Hammerhead: Species X about a potential new hammerhead species and Great White Serial Killer: Sea of Blood, which gives viewers an up-close look at a great white shark as it disturbs a local village.
