Shaquille O'Neal signs multi-year extension with Turner Sports, will also appear on NBA TV and CNN

Shaquille O’Neal isn’t going anywhere. Turner Sports announced a multi-year extension with O’Neal on Monday. As part of the deal, O’Neal will continue to be a part of TNT’s “Inside the NBA.”

O’Neal, 48, will also contribute to Bleacher Report, CNN, NBA TV and NBA.com as part of the deal. O’Neal will work on a show called “The Business of Basketball” for NBA TV. Turner Sports said more information regarding that show will be available at a later date.

Don’t expect O’Neal to provide political commentary on CNN. His appearances on the network will include being a DJ for CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live.” Turner Sports has also teased a Shaq cameo on All Elite Wrestling, which airs on TNT.

Shaq thanked Charles Barkley after signing deal

In a statement, O’Neal expressed excitement over returning to Turner Sports. He even took a shot at his “Inside the NBA” colleague Charles Barkley when talking about the new contract.

“Turner Sports is family to me — even you, Chuck — and I’m looking forward to working alongside my talented colleagues as we create many more Shaq-tastic moments in the years to come,” said O’Neal.

O’Neal and Barkley have a playful rivalry on “Inside the NBA.”

O’Neal joined “Inside the NBA” in 2012.
