Shaquille O’Neal has called out Kanye West for incessantly victimizing himself on social media, telling the rap star to “man up.”

On Tuesday (Feb. 13), Akademiks shared a screenshot of the NBA legend commenting under one of Ye’s posts, in which West credited associates Dov Charney, Jonah Hill, and Jon Rafman with remaining loyal amid backlash received for previous antisemitic remarks.

However, in the post, which appears to have since been deleted or edited, Yeezy also takes a shot at Jamie Salter, the founder of Authentic Brands Group. Salter, who holds a controlling interest in Reebok, works closely with O’Neal, who was appointed President of the company’s basketball division.

“Who cares stop bi**hin and snitchin,” Shaq wrote in response to Ye’s tirade, before revealing that the two had crossed paths at Super Bowl LVIII this past weekend and that he was eager to address any comments made by West at the time. “I kno u saw me at the Super Bowl i was waiting for u to say something smart,” the former Los Angeles Laker added. “Man up. Nobody wanna see u cryin, man up lil boy.”

In West’s initial post, he attributed his decision to issue an apology to the Jewish community in December 2023 to inspiration from Charney, Hill, and Rafman. “Dov Charney is my brother and me and my wife’s business partner,” West wrote in reference to the American Apparel founder. “When Jamie Salter and everyone else wouldn’t take my calls, he let me sleep at his factory. Dov Charney, Jonah Hill, and Jon Rafman are three people who inspired my apology.”

Since Akademiks’ capture of Shaq’s comment, the post, which was accompanied by a screenshot of Charney’s Wikipedia page, now includes a cryptic message regarding loyalty, seemingly expression his appreciation for Charney, Hill, and Rafman even further. “Never turn your back on people who were there for you when everyone else had their backs turned,” the caption reads.

This isn’t the first time Shaq and Yeezy have been at odds or aired their grievances with one another on social media. In 2022, West accused Shaq of “bullying” NBA star Kyrie Irving amid controversy regarding a seemingly antisemitic post Irving had made on X, formerly Twitter. He also pointed out Shaq’s dealings with the aforementioned Salter, who happens to be of Jewish descent.

“Shaq is in business with Jamie Salter,” the Chicago native wrote on X at the time. “Jamie first said he’s 50/50 with David Beckham and 50/50 with Shaq. I said ‘Jamie . . . There’s no such thing as 50/50 in business . . . Who has the extra 1 percent for the control and voting rights.”

In his response to Ye, the Big Diesel advised the rapper to tend to his own personal matters before concerning himself with that of others. “Believe me you don’t know me like that,” Shaq clapped back. “Worry about your business, and to quote the once great Kanye West ‘I got more money than you, so why would I listen to you’ take my advice get your family business in order. Have a great day brother.”
