The old saying that money doesn’t buy taste certainly applies to Shaq’s new Ram TRX customized by Apocalypse. In its stock form, the TRX isn’t a bad-looking ride at all. Adding some tasteful mods it can look pretty fantastic. Then there’s this atrocity which looks like one of the unfortunate side effects of genetic experimentation.

Shaq plans to keep buying supercars he can’t even fit inside.

Shaquille O’Neal used the truck with a face not even a mother would love to roll up to a car show in Henry County, Georgia recently. The guy honestly could roll up in any ride and cause a stir, although we don’t think he would even fit in something like a Miata.

But people were losing their minds over his custom truck which looks like the Wish version of an Apocalypse build. We had to do a double take to make sure were weren’t looking at a Jeep Gladiator that had been uglified, so that’s really not great.

Embedded in that garish front end is Shaq’s signature Superman insignia. Since it’s a custom build, he got some personal touches and nobody else has a truck like it. We actually think that’s a good thing.

We’re not saying Shaq isn’t a nice guy – we’ve heard he’s actually really cool but haven’t met him ourselves. That said, we just can’t get on board with this build. It just looks so busy, so absolutely ugly, so cobbled together. Apocalypse usually does this style so much better, as do a few other builders. But this looks like something which never should’ve crawled out of the evolutionary pool.

After making his grand entrance, Shaq walked around the car show saying hi to people and getting his photo taken. While he was doing that, some people were checking out his ride, although we saw more of a crowd around him.

Now that’s a sign.
