Shannon Sharpe’s recent Club Shay Shay interview with Katt Williams was so impactful, that it made it onto national television. Saturday Night Live delivered a spoof of the conversation, and the NFL Hall Of Famer has offered a reaction.

SNL cast members Devon Walker and Ego Nwodim took on the roles of Sharpe and Williams, respectively, during the Saturday evening (Jan. 20) broadcast. “Three things are true about me. I am 5’3, I have never told a lie, and I am 6’3,” Walker said, playing on the Friday After Next actor asserting he was being 100% honest throughout the Jan. 3 interview, despite several statements seeming embellished.

The three-time Super Bowl champion and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson got a good laugh out of the skit during their Sunday (Jan. 21) episode of Nightcap. “I can’t believe Saturday Night Live fooled ya boy, Ocho,” the First Take host said. “The dude had a brown tracksuit on just like I had.” Johnson viewed the roast as an opportunity for elevation, telling Sharpe “You famous now, man […] You know what’s the next step after Saturday Night Live? You might be hosting the Oscars.” Check out the skit and their reactions below.

Shannon Sharpe and Katt Williams became a hot topic on the internet at the beginning of 2024 after the incendiary, almost three-hour interview came out. The comedian spoke about his disdain for his peers, namely Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer, and more. The conversation currently sits at over 53 million views on YouTube.

Several people who were addressed in the interview offered responses to Williams. “Gotta get that anger up outcha champ….It’s honestly sad,” Hart wrote via X, formerly known as Twitter, on Jan. 4. Things got even more personal between the two when his ex-wife, Torrei Hart, revealed that she would be joining Williams on his Dark Matter comedy tour. Hart chose to take the high road when asked how he felt about the tour.

“My success is my success,” he told TMZ. “I want everybody to win, I love everybody […] I hope the tour is great.” Check out the announcement and his reaction below.
