Shannen Doherty tears up over standing ovation at 90s Con “Beverly Hills 90210” panel

Shannen Doherty teared up when fans gave her a standing ovation during a Beverly Hills, 90210 panel at '90s Con in Tampa, Fl. The 52-year-old actress is currently fighting stage 4 breast cancer.

"Thank you so much," Doherty told the crowd (via PEOPLE). "You guys know how much I love crying constantly. And I do, it seems. So, thank you."

Doherty was joined by her 90210 cast mates Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, and Gabrielle Carteris on Sunday, Sept. 17 to reminisce on their iconic show. Toward the end of the panel discussion, Doherty received an outpouring of love from the audience.

"I have a fight for my life, that I deal with every day," Doherty said. "I think I am really great."

Having split with her husband of 11 years back in April, Doherty joked, "My other profession is getting engaged, married and divorced, and I'm doing that very well."

The Charmed star was originally diagnosed with cancer in 2015, which then went into remission in 2017, only to return in 2020. Doherty has been documenting her cancer battle on social media and in June she posted a video of her radiation treatment on Instagram. Next, she's launching a podcast.

"It's going to be called Let's Be Clear, and it's a live interactive memoir," Doherty explained. "So you get to hear everything that I've refused to say before. I'm spilling the tea, but nicely!"
