Shannen Doherty rehashed more co-star drama this week, this time stemming from the set of Beverly Hills, 90210.

The actress recounted a prank gone wrong between herself and co-star Jennie Garth during a conversation on her Let’s Be Clear podcast with fellow 90210 star Brian Austin Green.

“[Jennie] was doing, she was calling it ‘Pants-Down Day,’ where she would pull the pants on some of the crewmembers in a funny way,” Doherty recalled of her time on the 90210 set. “But some of them were getting pretty annoyed with it.”

In response, Doherty said, “I reversed it and I said, ‘Skirt-Up Day.’ And she always wore the men’s Calvin Klein boxer shorts under her clothes, so I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. And so I did ‘Skirt-Up Day’ and oh my God, she lost it on me, and I was just not in the mood to back down.”

Green also remembered the fight between the two women, calling it a “huge moment for everyone” and saying he and actor Ian Ziering “were the two that stepped into, kind of, the middle of it to keep it from escalating.”

Doherty played protagonist Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills, 90210, the Los Angeles newcomer to Garth’s Kelly Taylor. Green portrayed David Silver, a peer of Brenda and Taylor.

Green and Doherty also discussed the tension between the female 90210 castmates in a general sense, with Doherty saying, “It was always awesome to me that the boys got along so well. You guys were always very supportive of each other and congratulating each other, and it wasn’t necessarily the same with the girls.”

Green validated Doherty’s sentiment, saying, “I feel like you’re sugarcoating that situation a little bit. I remember it got really rough and competitive for you all, that was not an easy situation to watch.”

Doherty’s comments come about a month after she last made headlines for a back-and-forth with her Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano, which she addressed onstage at MegaCon in Orlando after first claiming on a podcast episode last December that Milano had allegedly given an ultimatum to a Charmed producer to choose between Milano or Doherty, or the former would file a lawsuit alleging a hostile work environment.

“We simply told the truth because the truth actually does matter,” Doherty said of the podcast, which she recorded with co-star Holly Marie Combs. “But we wanted to try to save you, the fans, from heartbreak as much as humanly possible.”

Onstage in Orlando, she also spoke about her experience navigating the tension while battling stage four cancer. “At this point in my life with my health diagnosis — I’m sorry if I start crying — with fighting horrific disease every day of my life, it is also incredibly important to me that the truth actually be told as opposed to the narrative that others put out there for me,” she said.
