It’s not uncommon for friends to swap clothes, but Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty have uncovered a shocking detail about a dress they once shared.

On the Monday, April 22 episode of Spelling’s podcast “MisSPELLING,” the former Beverly Hills 90210 castmates reminisced about old times — and old clothing. Spelling, 50, recalled losing her virginity to her then-boyfriend Ryan Ozar and the dress she was wearing at the time.

“Do you remember the Betsy Johnson dress that you wore in our biggest cast photo? It was black, floral,” Spelling asked. “We used to share clothes, everything.”

Doherty, 53, then asked, “Are you trying to tell me you lost your virginity in my dress?”

Spelling set the record straight, saying, “Um, no, I’m going to say that you wore the dress I lost my virginity in.”

When Doherty appeared shocked, Spelling continued, “I told you! I literally said, ‘There’s a blood stain in the back’ and you were like, ‘I don’t give a f—k.'”

“Oh wait, you’re talking about that black dress that had the big red roses on it that crossed in the back?” Doherty then remembered. “I loved that dress.”

She continued, “It was cleaned though. I just don’t think they got that stain out or something."

Spelling interjected saying, "Big a-- blood stain."

The Charmed actress then said that she loved the dress so much that she bought an all-black version of it for herself.

In the cast photo being referenced, Doherty wears the sleeveless black dress, which had red flowers and green leaves on it. Spelling wears a square-necked red t-shirt with white trim.

During their conversation, the Beverly Hills 90210 alumni also reflected on what led to the dissolution of their once close friendship.

“It’s like one minute, we were friends, and then one minute we weren't,” Spelling said.

Doherty suggested it was because of Spelling’s boyfriend at the time and said that after a trip the actresses took to Mexico with their respective partners, they “started drifting apart.”

“And all I can think is that because you didn't break up with him. You stayed and you got tortured for a little bit longer," Doherty said.

Beverly Hills 90210 ran for 10 seasons from 1990 to 2000. While Spelling was a main cast member throughout the show’s entire run, Doherty was fired from the series in 1994. The actress has admitted that her behavior had become unprofessional, which she attributes to material problems then-husband Ashley Hamilton, who was struggling with drug addiction at the time.

"I was in a really horrible marriage, and there were things that were transpiring in that marriage that made it really hard for me to be on time for work," Doherty shared in a January 2024 episode of her podcast “Let's Be Clear With Shannen Doherty.” "And I know that that became a very big problem for the rest of you, as it should be."

The actress added that while she takes accountability, she wishes that the show’s producers would have spoken to her privately before firing her.

"It wasn't anybody's responsibility but mine, but I sort of wish I would have been sat down and sort of looked at and said, 'Listen, the end result is going to be this, you are going to get fired and none of us are willing to put up with it anymore,'" she said. "And I understand that you have an issue in your personal life, but that also can't bleed into work and you need to get your s--- together!"
