Shannen Doherty is sharing how her departure from Beverly Hills, 90210 affected her professional relationship with the late Aaron Spelling.

On Monday’s episode of Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty, the actress admitted she felt apprehensive about joining Charmed after learning that the Beverly Hills, 90210 producer would be helming the project.

In 1994, Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh on 90210, left the hit teen drama amid reports she had been feuding with cast and crew on set.

“I was very trepidatious of working with Aaron Spelling again and getting involved because they burned me really badly on 90210,” she explained of the producer, who died in June 2006. “I was probably carrying around a lot of resentment and anger still.”

Despite parting on bad terms, Doherty, 52, received a script for Charmed. Upon seeing his name printed on the screenplay, she threw it into the backseat of her car until Holly Marie Combs spotted it in her vehicle and convinced her to give the show a shot.

“And I said, ‘Actually this one is pretty good. You'll probably like it,’” Combs recalled. “And you said, ‘No, it says Spelling on it.’ And I said, ‘I know I understand. But if they sent it to you, that means they want to work with you on it and it might be a good thing.'"

Doherty eventually met with Spelling and the two had a “coming to Jesus moment” though she claimed that it was more “for him” than it was for her. To her surprise, the television producer acted as if all was right in the world.

“He just walked in and [it was] as if nothing happened,” she said. “I mean, for him, that's how he conducted the meeting. It was like ‘Kiddo! Let's do this project together. It's gonna be great!’”

She continued, “And I was just like, ‘Do you want to talk about everything that happened in the past? Do we want to talk about [how] you fired me and didn't even have a discussion with me and like, all this stuff that transpired on 90210 and how, you know, that was just an ugly situation?"

“But no, he didn't really want to discuss any of it. He just wanted us to move forward,” Doherty said and Combs added, “He was moving on.”

Doherty ultimately landed the role as Prue Halliwell and appeared on Charmed for three seasons from 1998-2001. She starred on the series alongside Combs and Alyssa Milano.

Doherty first announced she would be launching a podcast when reuniting with her former castmates during a 90s Con panel in September.

"It’s going to be called Let’s Be Clear," Doherty shared at the event. "So you get to hear everything that I’ve refused to say before. I’m spilling the tea, but nicely!"

In November, the actress told PEOPLE that the podcast will not be a “tell-all,” but rather a “memoir of the past, the present and future.”

“’Tell-all’ sort of sounds weird to me, because I always think of a tell-all is your only intention is basically to blame everybody else and to tell on them,” she said, adding, “I take full responsibility for my own actions, and I hold myself very accountable, and I do it on the podcast as well. I admit to the mistakes that I have made."
