Shania Twain was one of the biggest music stars in the industry, but after recording the bestselling album ever made by a woman, she left the limelight. Now that she is back with plans for an album tour, the singer has shared details on her experiences during marriage and the ordeals she had to pass through. The singer first disappeared from the music industry when she had to undergo a reconstruction surgery, to repair her vocal box and according to her, she never thought she would ever sing again.

While she was getting treatment for a bad vocal cord, the singer was bitten by a tick and diagnosed with Lyme disease. It is difficult to imagine that Twain went through all those things, but we are glad that she found herself again. Twain was married to Lange, whom she had a son with and after years of silence from the singer, it was revealed that she and Lange were getting a divorce. When fans heard about the divorce, they were unhappy, but feelings got intense when the reason for the separation came to limelight.

Lange was having an affair with Twain's close friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud, who lived in the same city as the ex-couple. When Twain heard about what her friend had done, she decided to hook up with Thiébaud's husband. Unfortunately, people no longer spoke about how amazing she was at singing, they only talked about her payback lifestyle. For some time after this family drama, Twain still decided to stay away from the spotlight the best way she could as she could not sing anymore. According to the singer and song-writer, she had no idea why she could not sing again because her doctors told her that her vocals were okay again.

Shania Twain also disclosed in her memoir, that her father, Clarence Edwards abused her physically and psychologically. She said that she could not count how many times he would plunge her head into the toilet to punish her, but she found a way to fight back. When asked in an interview if her father went as far as sexually abusing her, she said that she would not like to go into details. These moments were very difficult for the singer, but as time went on, she found her voice again.

After divorcing her ex-husband, Robert John Lange, she got married to Frédéric Thiébaud in 2011. yea, that's right, her former PA's ex-husband. Recently, the singer made a comeback move with a mind-blowing performance at the American Music Awards and what everyone can say at this moment is; "she's back."
