Shalom Harlow and Amber Valletta Share Glam Supermodel Selfie from Saint Laurent Front Row: 'Twisted Sisters'

A clip of the two models on the runway in the '90s recently went viral after Olivia Rodrigo wore their Todd Oldham outfits

While they may have been left out of Apple's The Super Models documentary, Shalom Harlow and Amber Valletta used Paris Fashion Week to prove they're still two of the best professional posers in the game.

Longtime friends Harlow and Valletta met up at Saint Laurent's spring 2024 runway show on Tuesday where they sat side by side in the front row. To commemorate this mini reunion, the models joint posted a video of themselves to their Instagram accounts featuring them striking various cover-worthy looks and sharing a kiss on the cheek. They also posted a couple of their favorite looks from the new collection. The pair captioned the shot "Twisted Sisters," tagging the brand and its creative director Anthony Vaccarello.

Both cover girls sported blunt bangs for the evening, a twinning moment, which perhaps inspired their sororal caption. But Valletta opted for a totally sheer black halter neck dress with just a pair of black briefs on underneath, while Harlow went with something much more covered up in an oversize leather jacket worn over a taupe silk blouse and brown pencil skirt.

This isn't the first time the two supermodels have re-entered the pop culture zeitgeist this year. Earlier this month, a video of Harlow and Valetta on the runway went viral after Olivia Rodrigo decided to celebrate the release of her new album Guts in a vintage look from Todd Oldham's spring 1995 collection, which happened to have been worn by the two of them.

In a post on Instagram, the pop star wore the gold bedazzled miniskirt originally modeled by Valetta and the white button-down crop top worn by Harlow. In the clip from the original fashion show, Harlow steps in front of Valetta to pose at the end of the runway before sashaying hard to catch up with her and walk side by side to close the show.

Many have read into that iconic fashion moment, claiming that Harlow was attempting to one-up her catwalk colleague. However, mere seconds later the two models emerge from backstage holding hands and smiling.

In an interview with Vogue in February, Harlow also addressed this iconic exchange, explaining that there's no longstanding beef between these best friends. "There's some video footage of me overtaking Amber on the runway, which everybody makes it into some, like, 'Oh, they must have had a little bit of a moment!' It was not anything like that at all," she explained.

"It was just, I had a fast clip. I was just feeling the music and walking and I overtook her. She was extra slouchy that day and she was moving slower than usual. You can see as we're walking back, I turn to her and I say a few things. The first thing I say is, 'Keep up with me.' And then you see me turn and say something else to her, and I say, 'Ok, now turn,' and so we turned in unison."

Valletta seconded that recollection in her own video with Vogue from April. While looking at a photo of herself on the runway just before it all transpired, she said, "This is such a funny moment in fashion and I could see Miss Saucy Thing coming up behind me in this image. Here she is. That's Shalom. And very soon she will take me over at the end of the runway."

Valletta continued, "What's funny is people do like to make this into a drama, which is hilarious to me because it was so not a drama. She was just on fire, she was feeling it, she was feeling that short skirt. We start walking back and I remember her saying, 'Keep up with me.' So I'm walking, obviously as fast as I can, and then she says, 'Now, turn' and so of course I listened because she was in charge."
