Shalita Grant Says Farewell To ‘NCIS: New Orleans’ In Her Final Episode

SPOILER ALERT: This story contains minor details of tonight’s episode of NCIS: New Orleans. In January, it was announced that Shalita Grant, who plays Agent Sonja Percy would be bowing out of the CBS series NCIS: New Orleans — and tonight was her big send off.

On Tuesday night’s episode, Percy turned in her badge after she made a daring move to disarm a Chinese operative holding her at gunpoint while she was in an SUV. She risked her life and flipped the car — but ended up surviving. She made the decision to leave out of fear that she was letting her team down. Pride supported her decision to leave and thus closing her chapter on NCIS: New Orleans.

Grant’s Percy was a recurring character on the first season of the series. She was upped to series regular stayed on for three more seasons. Grant said that her departure from the show was “mutually agreed upon.” She said that she was looking for a change and that she is “moving on to the next great thing.”

In 2016, Zoey McLellan left NCIS: New Orleans for creative reasons. Vanessa Ferlito stepped in to fill the empty spot as FBI agent Tammy Gregorio.
