Shakira Is Reportedly Dating This Hollywood Rising Star & We’re All for This Power Couple Already

After a bumpy split from ex Gerard Piqué, Shakira is owning her new era. In addition to releasing record-breaking new music, it seems like the Colombian singer is taking a plunge in the dating pool too.

According to a new source for Us Weekly, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer is currently “casually” dating Emily in Paris hunk Lucien Laviscount. As a reminder, the two met for the first time when they worked together on Shakira’s steamy music video for her new song, “Puntería.” Watching the music video, it’s safe to say their chemistry was quite instant.

“She’s casually seeing him,” the insider said, adding that their “the chemistry started” on set together. “[Shakira was] pleasantly surprised by how charming and funny he was,” the source added, noting that the two are still in the getting-to-know-each-other stage.

Per another source, Shakira is “happy” with her blossoming relationship with the British actor. “Shakira and Lucien have a light playful thing going on — and he’s very into her,” a source added.

Prior to their reported relationship confirmation, the two had already been sparking relationship rumors. In late March, the two were pictured leaving a dinner date together outside of Carbone in New York City, per Entertainment Tonight. That night, Shakira wore an all-black ensemble with shiny pants and her long, blonde hair in loose curls. Laviscount’s wardrobe complemented his dining pal with his chic leather jacket and blue-tinted sunglasses.

Before that, the actor supported Shakira’s surprise performance in Times Square for her new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.

At that time, insiders told Us Weekly all about her newfound singledom. “[She] isn’t ready for a relationship,” but she “is very open to some causal dating,” the source said. Looks like she found just that with Lucien. A power couple in the making!
