Shakira May Have a Love on the Brain After She's Spotted With This Netflix Star

Shakira has been talking quite openly about enjoying her “husbandless” life without her partner of 11 years, Gerard Piqué, but there might be room for a bit of romance for the now-single star. The 47-year-old singer has been fueling dating rumors with a hot Netflix star, who just so happened to appear in her recent music video, “Puntería.”

Emily in Paris fans are very familiar with Lucien Laviscount’s dreamy, good looks as Alfie — one-third of the show’s infamous love triangle. It looks like Shakira enjoyed her steamy on-camera moment with him so much that she decided to spend a bit of off-camera time with her co-star. The dynamic duo was snapped by paparazzi outside of Carbone in New York City where they shared a meal, per Entertainment Tonight. Shakira looked stunning in her all-black ensemble with shiny pants and her long, blonde hair in loose curls. Laviscount’s wardrobe complemented his dining pal with his chic leather jacket and blue-tinted sunglasses.

The Emily in Paris actor supported Shakira’s surprise performance in Times Square for her new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, on Tuesday. Before people get too excited by this sizzling pairing, Us Weekly sources are already downplaying their outing. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer “isn’t ready for a relationship,” but she “is very open to some causal dating.” Her friends are reportedly describing her as a “new woman,” and they are happy “to see her back to her former self — in work and with friends.” The source added, “Shakira has a new light around her that she hasn’t had since before Piqué.”

Shakira threw a bit of shade at her ex earlier this week on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I’ve been putting out music here and there, but it was really hard for me to put together a body of work,” Shakira admitted to the late-night talk show host. “I didn’t have time. It was the husband factor. Now I’m husbandless. Yeah, the husband was dragging me down. Now I’m free. Now I can actually work.”

It sounds like Shakira is thriving after her Piqué breakup and while Laviscount might be a fun flirtation, she is focusing on her three other loves — work and her two sons, Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9. Shakira has a lot on her plate,” a second insider noted to Us Weekly. “Her main priority is her kids and career. But she’s definitely optimistic about finding love again.”
