Shadowhunters: Alisha Wainwright Cast as Werewolf Maia in Season 2
A major player from Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments books is coming to Shadowhunters in Season 2.

Alisha Wainwright has been cast as werewolf Maia, a bartender at the Hunters Moon and a new member of Luke’s pack, Freeform announced Friday:

Like most of us, Maia uses jokes and sarcasm to mask her complicated emotions, mostly related to her troubled past. And although she doesn’t want to resort to violence, Valentine’s possession of the Mortal Cup will force her into battle.
If the show chooses to follow the books, Maia will also develop into a love interest for Simon. (And as we all know, relationships between vampires and werewolves never end in disaster, right?)
Wainwright’s TV resumé includes roles on Fox’s Rosewood, TNT’s Perception and Freeform’s Switched at Birth.
