Sexyy Red Says She Wasn't Allowed to Speak at a High School Because She Smelled Like Weed

A video captured by a fan showed high school students surrounding her car outside as she danced from the sunroof

Sexyy Red is opening up about an experience where she claims she was stopped from speaking to high school students because she smelled like weed.

On Wednesday, the "SkeeYee" rapper shared multiple videos on her Instagram Stories about what went down at a local high school in her St. Louis hometown.

"Look, so this school, I came up here, got cute, tried to talk to the kids, give ’em the word of the day and they gonna put me off tell me I smell like weed," Red, 25, said in a recording of the video on X, before going off on the people who turned her away.

She continued, "Bitch, you're nobody, they ain't come to see you, Otis! Bitch, you heard who they're screaming for."

In additional videos shared by an Instagram user in attendance, Red drove up to the high school and masses of students surrounded her car. She then popped out of the sunroof and started dancing around as they chanted for her.

This isn't the first time one of her high school visits got out of control. In July of last year, the rapper visited a high school and her young fans got so excited they stood up from the bleachers and charged toward her, XXL reported at the time.

That same month, the "Pound Town" rapper was spotted hanging out with Drake backstage during his It's All a Blur tour at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

In a photo posted to his Instagram Stories, Drake sat with the rapper as he had his arm around her and kissed her cheek.

“Just met might my rightful wife @sexyyred,” Drake wrote on the post.

Red shared the same photo on her Instagram, along with a second snap of herself and the "No Guidance" rapper seated once again with their heads pressed together as Drake stuck his tongue out.

“I’m yo favorite rapper favorite rapper 🤝🏾,” Red wrote.

On Thursday, Nicki Minaj — with whom Red previously collaborated on the remix of "Pound Town" — called Red out on X (formerly Twitter) to now join her on a remix of "FTCU," which was featured on Minaj's latest album Pink Friday 2.

“You got your verse for #FTCU? Finna drop the remix @SexyyRed314_ Left #PoundTown to go #FTCU a remix for a remix,” Minaj, 41, wrote, as Red responded "Song + Video."

"Miss lady, bring the kids & the stroller that’s all I got to offer right now. a play date,” Minaj replied. “Let somebody film us bi$h sexy know DANG well we on tour in #gagcity Barbz. send me that verse right away pls ma’am. It’s a superstar (or 2) on there as well. GET IT SEXY!!!!!!”
