Apple TV+ has given a series order to a half-hour comedy from Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory.

Starring Rogen, the untitled series is about a legacy Hollywood movie studio trying to survive in a world where it is increasingly difficult for art and commerce to live together.

In addition to starring, Rogen writes and directs the series alongside Goldberg. Both executive produce via their Point Grey Productions banner, as does James Weaver. Huyck and Gregory serve as showrunners and executive producers. Additionally, Alex McAtee and Josh Fagen executive produce, and Frida Perez co-produces. Lionsgate Television serves as the studio.

The series landed at Apple TV+ after a competitive situation with multiple bidders. This is Rogen’s second project at the streamer; he’s also set to star opposite Rose Byrne in “Platonic,” which is co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco.

Point Grey, founded by Rogen and Goldberg in 2011, has been under a multiplatform deal at Lionsgate since 2018. Projects produced through the deal include the 2019 movies “Long Shot” and “Good Boys” and 2020’s “An American Pickle,” as well as the upcoming films “Memetic,” “Cobweb,” “Video Nasty,” “79ers” and an untitled project written by Adele Lim.
