Seth Meyers Says Scooby Doo Is the Real College Cheating Scandal Culprit (Video)

Seth Meyers has investigated the ongoing college admissions fraud scandal, and he identified the real criminal behind it all: cartoon detective/dog Scooby-Doo.

OK, not really. But on Wednesday’s episode of “Late Night,” Meyers was pretty amazed by an email federal prosecutors say actress Felicity Huffman wrote that used what is probably Scoob’s most famous catch phrase.

Huffman was among 48 individuals charged on Tuesday with committing fraud to get their children into top universities, including fixing SAT results by arranging a test proctor who would change incorrect answers, according to charging documents. She was arrested Tuesday morning and her bail was set at $250,000. Huffman has not responded to a request for comment from TheWrap, and she has not commented publicly on the matter.

But included in the evidence prosecutors released to the public on Tuesday was an email, which prosecutors say was written by Huffman, in which she said “Ruh Roh. Looks like [my daughter’s high school] wants to provide own proctor.”

“Make no mistake, the parents in these cases were very aware of what they were doing,” Meyers said. Describing the email, Meyers continued: “She literally sat down at a computer and typed the words ‘ruh roh.’ Making this the rare case where Scooby-Doo was the criminal.”
