Seth Meyers Agrees With Donald Trump: Michelle Wolf Is “So Filthy!”

Seth Meyers was thrilled President Donald Trump savaged Michelle Wolf’s performance at the White House Correspondents Dinner in a tweet that compared it to Meyer’s own WHCD host gig in 2011.

“Thank you for bringing it up,” the Late Night host told Trump, calling it “One of the best nights of my life.”

Meyers next took on Trump’s tweet in which he called Wolf, who used to work on Meyers’ show, “filthy” and “mean.”

“Just know, when you call her ‘filthy’ you are – so right! She is filthy!” Meyers said. “And she is mean, which is what we love about her! Because those are wonderful qualities for a comedian – and terrible qualities for free-world leaders.”

Meyers played a clip from his show in which Wolf had played Little Orphan Annie announcing she is getting a sex change.

“If you ask me, Sarah Huckabee Sanders got off easy!” Meyers insisted.

He next went after the White House Correspondents Association, whose president praised her “truth-to-power” style when they announced the gig, then issuing a statement apologizing for Wolf’s performance Saturday night. In a statement, the association president said: “the dinner was meant to offer a unifying message about our common commitment to a vigorous and free press while honoring civility…unfortunately the entertainer’s monologue was not in the spirit of that mission.”

“You hired her!” Meyers shot back.

“That’s like a parent sending an email saying ‘yesterday’s birthday party was meant to celebrate Kevin turning six years old; unfortunately the stripper’s dance routine was not in the spirit of the party’!”
