SeriesFest Unveils Season 6 Lineup With Jeffrey Katzenberg, Starz’s ‘P-Valley’, Apple’s ‘Mythic Quest’ & More

International television festival SeriesFest has announced its lineup for Season 6, a reimagined virtual experience set for June 18-24. The six-day Fest/Differently will include competition screenings, panel discussions, workshops, along with sneak peeks and TV premieres. The fest is normally held in Denver, but is going virtual this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The fest will return to Denver in June 2021.

It gets underway June 18 with an opening night screening of the new Starz drama, P-Valley, followed by a live streaming Q&A panel with the series’ stars Brandee Evans, Nicco Annan, Shannon Thornton, Elarica Johnson and creator and showrunner, Katori Hall.

Jeffrey Katzenberg, Quibi Founder and Chairman of the Board, also will join Liberty Global’s CEO and Vice Chairman Mike Fries for an Innovation Talk panel on the evolving global television marketplace.

This year’s lineup also includes Apple original series Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet with co-creator, executive producer, star, Rob McElhenney, co-creator and executive producer, Megan Ganz, along with stars, Charlotte Nicdao, F. Murray Abraham, and Jessie Ennis; BBC America’s Killing Eve, with series executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle, season 3 lead writer and executive producer, Suzanne Heathcote, director and co-executive producer, Miranda Bowen, and director Shannon Murphy; and AMC’s supernatural horror series, NOS4A2, with star Zachary Quinto and executive producer/showrunner, among others.

The fest also will feature the Covid-19 and The Altered Entertainment Landscape panel with Jeremy Gold (Co-President, Blumhouse Television), Howard Owens (Founder & Co-CEO, Propagate Content), Jennifer Daly (President, Critical Content), Marc Juris (President & GM, WE tv) and Rob McElhenney (Creator, Writer/Director, Actor).The panel will focus on the pandemic’s impact on the creative world and what meaningful steps innovative leaders are taking to keep moving the industry forward.
