Serial Killer’s Father Says He Didn’t See Red Flags While Son Was Growing Up: ‘I Guess I Was A Little Bit Naïve’

Did Lionel Dahmer miss important red flags in his son, Jeffrey Dahmer’s, development as the infamous serial killer was growing up? “I’m not sure. I guess I was a little bit naive,” claims the older Dahmer in a never before aired interview with Dr. Phil. “I just wish I’d had a little bit more smarts.” Billy is a former army medic who claims he was repeatedly drugged, raped, and brutalized by Jeffrey Dahmer after they became roommates while serving together in Germany. He says he doesn’t believe that Lionel Dahmer wasn’t aware that his son had problems. “I feel like he knew something was wrong with Jeff, and he tried to put him in the Military to get rid of the problem,” says Billy in the video above. Jeffrey Dahmer has been the subject of multiple books, podcasts, documentaries, films – and now, Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, a 10-part Netflix series dramatizing his life.
