Senior Dog Who's Been at the Shelter for 7 Years Gets a Surprise Weekend Away and We're in Tears
We just hope someone will take him home forever.
As much as we'd like to think that all rescue dogs get snatched up by their fur-ever family as soon as they hit the adoption website, the reality is completely different. Leroy, for example, is just one dog who's been waiting years for his perfect match. 7 years, to be exact.
As difficult as it must be for him to live the majority of his life in a shelter, @stephaniemunro7 of Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary was able to give him one extra special weekend. The duo spent a few days in a cabin on a lake, and we are positively in love.

Stephanie has a heart of gold for doing something this special for Leroy. He absolutely deserves it! The good boy has spent far too long in a shelter, though this video has the power to change that.
Commenter @mypetlights wasn't the only one to ask, "Where is Leroy?" though other viewers wasted no time in connecting the dots. Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary is located in King City, Ontario, which is about an hour north of Toronto. Judging by his love of the lake, Leroy is up for adoption in exactly the right place. He'd be the best cabin buddy ever--just ask Stephanie!
