Selling the OC: Season 3 | Rumor Has It | Netflix

We have a major new update from Sean Palmieri regarding his Selling the OC season 3 drama with Austin Victoria and Tyler Stanaland.

If you need a refresher, Sean accused Austin and his wife, Lisa, of being "flirty" with him and entertaining the idea that they'd have a threesome. Sean, who is an out, bisexual man, also suggested that Tyler's behavior was seemingly very flirtatious with him at one point in time.

Both Austin and Tyler have denied Sean's accusations on the show. Austin and Lisa have also shared Instagram posts further denying those allegations and saying they've never even thought about having sex with other people. However, Sean has since doubled down on his claims in new interviews.

Well, we now have a brand-new update that actually aligns with Sean's timeline based on the alleged text messages he shared on Thursday, May 16 via Instagram stories.

"In response to the confusion surrounding season 3, [I'm] highlighting a few important points to provide clarity," he started.

Sean continued:

"Austin claimed that two cast members said I accused him and his wife of cooking me dinner, drugging me with weed cookies, and attempting to lure me into their bedroom for a threesome. This is a lie. This is a baseless rumor, and I have never stated these words.

"Throughout season 3, I did address the advances and flirtatious behavior they have made towards me in the past, but I have never stated anything about a dinner at their house, weed edibles/cookies, or being lured into a bedroom."

"Austin's name kept coming up in the bar scene with Ali and Kayla," he explained. "This is the scene where I said that Austin and his wife have been flirtatious. His name was brought up NUMEROUS times which I found odd. I actually stopped filming because it felt as though there was an ulterior motive to the conversation."

He added, "AFTER this scene, I reached out to Austin, wanting to have a conversation with him about how his name kept coming up. He texted me saying he'd call me back, but never did. I even followed up with a phone call and got no answer."

Indeed, the alleged text messages shown by Sean do show him asking to call Austin. The response from Austin in the screenshot read, "Getting ready for a scene. Can call you after."

Sean's fourth Instagram story in this series directly addressed the office scene where a physical altercation between him and Austin almost took place right in front of the cameras. The Selling the OC star wrote:

"I walked into the office expecting to discuss a new listing but was accosted by Austin about 'a rumor.' Despite reaching out to Austin off camera (because I was hearing his name again and again), he chose to blindside me with these baseless accusations and address it IN FRONT of cameras, seemingly with the intent to maliciously defame my character. After he accosted me, I confronted him about his inappropriate behavior and advances toward me."

"When I defended myself against his lies and called him out, he responds by trying to gaslight me, make me a villain, and then puts his hands on me," Sean noted. "If this is a serious conversation and you don't want your family involved, why not pull me aside, OFF camera, while cameras are NOT rolling and address any of these rumors? Oh, and apparently l'm the one seeking camera time?"

He concluded this post with, "How bizarre of a situation to be attacked by a fellow cast member over a rumor he wants to bring to my attention, but HE NEVER STATES WHAT THE ACTUAL RUMOR IS! I left the scene still unaware of the rumor, which highlights his desire to publicly shame me rather than have a discussion for clarity."

"This is where Alex Hall detailed the rumor, which is the FIRST time I heard about a cooked dinner and weed edibles/cookies during the filming of the season," Sean clarified. The facts: Austin and his wife have never cooked me dinner or made me cookies. I never heard about this rumor detailing a cooked dinner and weed cookies prior to the racehorse track scene (season finale episode)."

He then brought up a situation that never made it to air, writing: "What you don't see is that I confronted the entire cast about who told Austin the rumor, and no one admitted it. BUT we see Polly and Kalya mention it throughout the season."

In his sixth Instagram story, titled "More Receipts," Sean wrote:

"Austin still claims he and his wife cooked dinner and made cookies for me, and also claims this 'evening in question' took place on January 8, 2022. We actually had dinner at NOVA Sushi on January 8, 2022. After dinner, I stopped by their house to try out their Oculus headset, then I left shortly after. I texted them later that evening to say thanks (which is the text screenshot Austin shared)."

Interestingly, this is one timeline that Sean and Austin sort of agree on considering that Austin also shared this same text message.

However, Sean sent the alleged text message exchange that he had with Austin leading up to the texts previously shared by Austin. In these posts, we can see their back and forth talking about a restaurant called NOVA Kitchen & Bar and scheduling a time to have dinner there.

"Going to grab a bite at Nova if you care to join. It's a little far out but always wanted to try," Austin allegedly texted Sean.

Sean's response was, "I'm down for that."

In the text message screenshots, Sean and Austin are seen confirming that they're talking about the same restaurant, as well as its address. "I think it's the same spot?" Austin says.

"Drooling. Looks good. Says 30 minutes away. See ya soon," Sean responds. Thus, it is understood that they have dinner at this time.

Quite some time goes by between them making plans to have dinner at NOVA and the next batch of text messages — at a much later time — where Sean is told to "park on the street."

Sean's screenshots of these alleged text messages do seem to prove his point that he indeed had dinner with Austin and Lisa prior to going to their house… which is strange, because Austin and Lisa are seen talking about "cooking Sean dinner" and "baking him cookies" on the show, but these text messages from Sean do suggest that something else happened.

Sean wrote in the next Instagram story slide:

"Austin and his wife Lisa persist in asserting that they cooked dinner for me and made cookies, even though we dined at a restaurant the evening of January 8, 2022. Not sure what their story will be next..."

"I am not the type to defend myself on social media," he concluded. "but it's disappointing that despite my attempts to handle this situation with civility, Austin and others continue to propagate falsehoods."

This chaotic drama from Selling the OC keeps escalating to new heights.

Honestly? It does seem like Sean's timeline is now aligning a little bit better than Austin's based on what they've said on the show and subsequently shared on social media. It's not entirely logical that Austin and Lisa would cook food for Sean after they all just had dinner together.

Audiences are divided between whether they believe Sean, Austin, both, or neither of them. We shall see if a conclusion will ever be reached regarding this situation!
