Selena Quintanilla’s killer will break her silence on the singer’s death three decades later. On Sunday (Feb. 4), Oxygen revealed a new True Crime docuseries called Selena and Yolanda: The Secrets Between Them, following the killer, Yolanda Saldivar, and her perspective behind her actions.

The footage shows an older Saldivar asserting that “people deserve to know the truth” behind Quintanilla’s untimely death. She also insists that there is more to the story than a “simple murder.” “My family gathered the evidence, showed different versions of what was going on,” Salvidar insists in the trailer. “I knew her secrets, and I think people deserve to know the truth.”

Oxygen detailed the infamous murder as “tragic” which “sent shockwaves through the world.” The network plans to get to the heart of the “secrets between the two women” in the episodic docuseries. “Yolanda Saldivar is speaking out from the Texas prison where she’s been incarcerated for nearly 30 years,” an official press release for the show reads.

“In a series of wide-ranging interviews from prison, Saldivar details her working relationship and friendship with Selena, and she’s not alone. For the first time, members of Yolanda’s family discuss the two women and share never-before-revealed documents and recordings in an effort to show there was more to the tragedy than the public knows.”

Selena and Yolanda: The Secrets Between Them will premiere in back-to-back episodes on Saturday (Feb. 17) at 8 PM EST and then Sunday (Feb. 18) at 7 PM EST on Oxygen True Crime.

Yolanda Saldivar previously served as the president of Selena’s fan club. However, she was removed from the position after discovering she had embezzled $30,000 in fan club fees. Selena then agreed to meet with Saldivar at a Days Inn Motel to discuss the next steps and to collect missing tax documents. Saldivar then pulled a gun on her in the hotel room and shot and killed the Latin star. She was 23 years old.
