Selena Gomez Shows a Little, Suggests a Lot in New ‘Good for You’ Video

Take that, Justin Bieber. If ever there were any doubts that Selena Gomez has moved on from her Disney roots, her new video for “Good for You” should quickly dispel them.

The 22-year-old singer manages to seduce the camera with an onslaught of provocative poses – all of them are PG-13, but still have a remarkably raunchy feel for not overtly showing anything.

Gomez opens the video by writhing around on a couch in a loosely tied robe, then goes on to stun in a totally nude steamy shower scene – filmed from the shoulders up, of course, but it’s still sexy enough to make any respectable fan’s tongue hang out.

The video continues throughout to be a masterpiece of suggestion. Gomez wears a white t-shirt and apparently nothing else – not even a bra – but everything is still technically left to the imagination.

“I wanted the video to reflect the initial stripped down version of ‘Good for You.’ [Director] Sophie Muller created a beautiful and intimate visual representation of the song,” Gomez explained in a statement.

We’d say the star of the video had as much to do with the overall intimacy of the production as the director. Well played, Mizz Selena.

The video arrived only a few days days after Gomez released the single, a highly anticipated slow jam featuring A$AP Rocky. The rapper, however, is nowhere to be seen in the video.
