Selena Gomez will always be in Steve Martin's corner.

The actress and singer, 31, shared a post on her Instagram Story Friday, in which she supported her Only Murders in the Building costar amid the release of his new film, STEVE! (Martin) A Documentary in 2 Pieces.

“It pains me to know how many people may not know truly about Steve’s life,” Gomez wrote as she shared a snapshot of herself watching the Apple TV+ documentary.

She continued, “He’s truly an icon and tried and never gave up … my dear friend you are extraordinary."

Martin’s new two-part documentary was released on Friday. It follows the decades-long career of the 78-year-old comedian and actor.

The film is directed and produced by Oscar-winner Morgan Neville and features never-before-seen footage, along with new interviews with Martin and insight into his standup and film career.

Gomez appears alongside Martin and Martin Short in the comedy-drama series Only Murders, which debuted in 2021.

Gomez’s latest post of appreciation for Martin comes after she shared a heartfelt tribute to her Only Murders costars in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

The Disney alum posted a black-and-white photo of the trio lounging together on the set of the show, writing in her caption, “I want to thank @stevemartinreally and Marty (who hates social media) for truly being the most kind, gentle, warm and powerful influences in my life.”

“You have shown me a level of class, intellect and humor that doesn’t seem to be easy to find anymore,” she continued. “You guys are truly best friends to me forever. #thebear.”

Earlier this month, Gomez said that filming had begun for the fourth season of the show.

At the time, she posted a photo of roses sent to her by Martin and Short, 74, with a typed note from the actors that read, "We're so happy to be back with you, love, Steve and Marty.”

During an interview with Deadline, it was confirmed by Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich that season 4 will take place in Los Angeles as the trio embark on a trip there before returning to New York City.
