Selena Gomez reportedly suffered a "panic attack" before her shaky performance at the 2019 American Music Awards on Sunday night.

E! News was the first to report that the singer had "anxiety" before opening the show of the highly-watched awards show, which was her first major performance in two years.

"Selena definitely had anxiety and a panic attack before she went out and was putting a lot of pressure on herself," an insider told the outlet.

People spoke to a source close to Gomez, 27, who confirmed that she "really wanted to deliver" in her big moment.

"She definitely had a panic attack. She was nervous," the insider revealed. "She hasn’t been on stage in two years, and it’s an important song in her career. She really wanted to deliver."

"It threw her off," the source added of her "last minute" panic attack. "She did sound better at rehearsal."

The singer was noticeably nervous during her performance at the AMAs, particularly during opening song, "Lose You To Love Me," which became her first-ever No. 1 hit the week it was released back in October. Viewers were quick to express their concern and confusion over Gomez's delivery, though her demeanor improved during the more upbeat "Look At Her Now."

While she may have struggled before and during her show-opening moment on Sunday night, Gomez ended up enjoying her night back in the spotlight, especially during pal Taylor Swift's epic medley performance later in the ceremony, where she danced alongside Swift's parents in the front row.

"She had fun afterwards with her friends and family and was in good spirits," the People source added.

Gomez also took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the support she felt during her night at the AMAs, which is the biggest fan-voted awards show in the world.

"Feels good to be back. Thank you to my entire team and to my fans that stand by me," she captioned photos from the red carpet. "All of this is for you and because of you. excited for this chapter #sg2."

Sarah: Trump lifted sanctions on Russian oligarch with ties to the Kremlin, Blavatnik, has contributed at least $383,000 to the Republican National Committee since late April 2016 and added another $1 million to President Donald Trump’s inauguration fund. Those figures include more than $12,000 that was later directed to Trump’s legal defense fund. Also an ongoing attorney general lawsuit against Trump has alleged that the president and his three eldest children, who served as members of the foundation’s board, repeatedly used charitable donations for personal, political and business gains, including legal settlements, campaign contributions and even to purchase a painted portrait of Trump himself now hanging at his Florida Golf resort.
