Emily Blunt and Selena Gomez are making a cheeky statement about the Golden Globes!

The actresses appeared to give a hilarious response to the recent buzz around conversations they were rumored to have had at the Golden Globe Awards as they posed at the 2023 American Film Institute Awards in Los Angeles on Friday.

Blunt, 40, and Gomez, 31, were snapped at the event with their hands over their mouths in a playful reference to the buzz that followed moments from their Globes appearances — which saw fans speculate over Blunt and husband John Krasinski’s exchange and Gomez’s alleged gossip about Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner at the awards, which the singer later denied, clarifying what she had been speaking about.

Reposting the photo on her Instagram Story, Gomez jokingly wrote over the image, "We shall not speak lol.”

After Sunday's Golden Globes, a clip from the event that showed Gomez talking to pals Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller, who were also in attendance, led fans to speculate that she was talking about new couple Chalamet, 28, and Jenner, 26 and telling her pals that the reality star had denied her request for a photo with the Dune actor. A source later revealed to PEOPLE that Gomez was not referencing the new couple in her conversation with Swift and Teller.

"She was absolutely not referencing anything about Timothée or Kylie," the insider told PEOPLE last week, adding that Gomez, “never even saw or spoke to them.”

On Tuesday, Gomez then clarified what she said at the Globes in a comment under an E! News Instagram post. “Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s [anyone's] business,” the Only Murders in the Building star wrote.

Meanwhile, a clip posted by CBS on TikTok from the Globes left a few fans convinced that Blunt and husband Krasinski, 44, were discussing a “divorce” on the red carpet at the event. The footage showed the pair having a brief exchange as they laughed and posed for a photo together.

“Did he say I can’t wait to divorce?” one fans speculated as commenters shared their lip-reading attempts.

Though neither Blunt or Krasinki have addressed exactly what they said, one TikTok user, Nina Celested, who calls herself ‘Lip reading girl,’ suggested the couple said something completely different.

She claimed that Krasinski said, “It’s chilly here, right?” to Blunt, adding, “Can’t wait til we’re indoors. It’s windy.”
