Selena Gomez Denies Rumor She Dated John F. Kennedy's Grandson

"Never met this human," the singer and actress wrote on Instagram

Selena Gomez is shutting down rumors she dated John F. Kennedy's only grandson.

On Friday, the Only Murders in the Building star commented on a fan's Instagram post that claimed she dated Jack Schlossberg.

"Never met this human sorry," Gomez, 31, wrote.

The rumor was originally posted to X (formerly Twitter) and claimed that Gomez and Schlossberg — who's the son of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg — dated from 2020 to 2021.

At the time, Schlossberg praised the "Single Soon" singer for her "When We All Vote" merchandise on Instagram, according to screenshots by a fan on X.

Gomez is currently in a loving relationship with music producer Benny Blanco. Earlier this week, a source told PEOPLE they're going strong despite the distance.

"They are so in love," the insider said. "It’s a very serious relationship, and they’re making long distance work while she’s in New York for work commitments."

"Benny makes her feel special and they try to see each other as much as possible," the source added. "She really does feel like it’s the best she’s ever been treated by a guy, and she’s had a certain glow since they started dating."

Gomez is currently in New York City filming the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building. Meanwhile, Blanco, 36, is set to release his cookbook, Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends, later this month.

Last month, the "Lose You to Love Me" singer shared sweet photos of their relationship in honor of his birthday.

"Happy birthday baby! Your emotional endurance, positive disposition, unbelievable talent (that blows me away), undeniable humor and loving, kind heart absolutely kill me," she wrote on March 8. "I love you @itsbennyblanco."
