Even if Selena Gomez steps away from music, she plans on making a "revival" eventually.

After the singer/actress, 31, went viral earlier this year for saying, “I feel like I have one more album in me,” on a podcast, she clarified her comments in a new interview with Rolling Stone that was published on Monday. Gomez explained that “it’s not that it’s, ‘no, never’” when it comes to music, but that she anticipates taking “breaks” as she focuses more on her love for acting.

“I think it’s natural for people to take breaks, but I think for me, there is a whole other aspect to my life, pride and joy,” the Grammy-nominated artist said. “I love film. I love TV. I just feel like I haven’t done a lot of the things that I want to do in that space.”

The Only Murders in the Building star continued, “It’s not that it’s ‘no, never’ [to music], it’s more that I would like to explore that world a bit more and have the time to actually do that.”

As Gomez opened up about her on-screen aspirations, she also told the outlet about the kind of projects she hopes to pursue. “I love being able to take roles that I have to fight for, not the ones that are being handed to me,” the superstar said. “I’m going for the stuff that really, really inspires me.”

“I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting,” Gomez said when asked about her passions for both music and acting.

She continued, "I am going to want to chill because I’m tired. I wanted to be an actress, I never really intended on being a singer full-time, but apparently that hobby turned into something else."

The Golden Globe-nominated performer explained that she was “having a lot of fun with music” early in her career and eventually “just kept going,” but her outlook has changed over the years. She shared, “But the older I get, the more I’m kind of like, I would like to find something to just settle on.”

Gomez currently has a handful of projects that she’s focusing on — in both acting and music.

The hitmaker recently dropped her first single of the year, with the sexy pop song “Love On.” Alongside the track, which details how irresistible a new love can be, Gomez shared a Parisian-themed music video in February.

The "Single Soon" performer is also said to have a new album on the way. Although few details have been announced, Gomez has confirmed to Rolling Stone that she’s in the midst of working on her fourth studio album and “hopes” that it'll be released sometime this year.

In terms of her film and TV pursuits, there’s more than a few highly anticipated projects on the Emmy-nominated star’s plate.

Just last week, Gomez began production on the fourth season of her hit Hulu comedy, Only Murders in the Building.

She was also recently announced as an executive producer on an upcoming reboot of The Wizards of Waverly Place. The show is set to be a sequel to the beloved Disney Channel classic, with David Henrie on as a series regular and Gomez appearing as a guest star.

The actress will also soon portray Linda Ronstadt in a feature film biopic
